Qualcomm Demonstrates Wi Fi 802.11ad Solution

In this clip, Qualcomm shows how the emerging 802.11ad Wi-Fi standard can push multi-gigabit speeds across home Wi-Fi networks. This new Wi-Fi standard opens up the 60 GHz band in addition to the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands. The higher throughput in home application can facilitate lag free video, for instance.
