Jeff Edlund, CTO of Communications and Media Group for HP discusses HP's role in monitoring and managing these newly virtualized solutions for carriers and what methods they use to do so, including using their NFV Director, a tool that does resource management and an orchestration function. It help carriers automate elasticity, which is a form of resource management, and also monitor error conditions and take corrective actions as necessary.
