Google Kicks Off

Google visited Austin July 20-21 to kick off a statewide campaign for Texas businesses to go online. The company hosted workshops at local venue La Zona Rosa to help businesses in Texas get online to sell and promote themselves.

Google representatives also gave advice on how to market through mobile devices and how to optimize websites for viewing on mobile devices. The program offers users a domain name, listing on Google Places and one year of web hosting by Intuit.
