Alcatel-Lucent 9471 Wireless Mobility Manager

To address the increasing mobile subscriptions and signaling load brought on by the mobile broadband requirements for 3G, 3G+ and LTE, Alcatel-Lucent has developed a new product, the 9471 Wireless Mobility Manager (WMM), which provides both 2G/3G SGSN and LTE MME functionality all on in-house designed ATCA platform. Learn how the 9471 WMM delivers the scalability and capacity required of a SGSN to support on-going renovations of existing packet core networks to support W-CDMA/HSPA/HSPA+ but also how it can be deployed as a high-performance control plane MME in our LTE Evolved Packet Core (EPC) or as a combined SGSN/MME for a converged 2G/3G/LTE packet core.
