Argus Insights analyzes social media to predict smartphone sales and the firm was right on the money this quarter with its forecast for Apple's iPhone sales. Although several Wall Street analysts thought Apple would sell fewer than 30 million iPhones, Argus predicted sales of more than 30 million. Apple sold 31.2 million, but Argus says the current quarter may not go so well for Apple. Argus's John Feland also shares insight about Galaxy S4 sales, noting that many of the robust sales numbers reported were sales into the retail channels, not end sales to consumers.
