FOA Lecture 32 Fiber Amplifiers

Fiber amplifiers are used to regenerate signals in long links. Fiber amplifiers require a minimal amount of power and have few parts so they are very reliable. A big advantage is they can amplify signals over a relatively large wavelength range allowing them to amplify all the signals in a DWDM system.
