Start Your Tech Career At An Apple Store

10 years ago I would have told anyone interested in pursuing a tech career to stay away from Apple Stores or other Tech Retail establishments. Things have changed dramatically though and the technology that is being sold in these places is the same used in enterprise environments now. If you have an option between starting on a Help Desk or in Tech Retail it may be better to consider a retail environment. You'll learn to interact with end users in a high speed setting, and the flexibility in hours may be much better if you are going to school. Beyond this the Apple Store and other establishments have opportunities for advancement that will make sense on your resume when you finally apply for enterprise jobs.
