Featured video
Description
In 2010, the Office of Technology Services closed one of its data centers by consolidating and modernizing facilities. Part of a major effort to consolidate IT in California government, the move eliminated 75,000 square feet of data center floor space. Among other savings, the elimination of space allowed the State to avoid $40 million in capital costs to replace the aging cannery campus.
