Mobile Apps Need Data - Coders Episode 20
Description
This week I'm talking to Haseeb Qureshi, CEO and co-founder of Audiohand. Audiohand is a mobile app that records audio on your iPhone, then mixes it with other live recordings and mixes the result down to a great-sounding MP3. Designed for musicians and podcasters, Audiohand makes smart use of lossless audio formats to deliver high-quality sound without taxing wireless infrastructure.
As Qureshi explains, Audiohand didn't want to use too much data but had to face the realities of what customers would want, and how they use their devices -- bandwidth and connectivity are variables the app had to account for. Also, the company found some market suppositions proved untrue when they launched in March. Find out how Audiohand thinks about data use, why they launched on iPhone first and more in the video interview.
