-South Korean state investigators raided carrier SK Telecom’s headquarters in Seoul. Authorities suspect that the company’s healthcare division may have illegally collected patients’ medical records. Prosecutors and police detectives seized computer hard drives and documents in an effort to determine if SK Telecom gathered user healthcare data without consent.
-European carrier EE is set to deploy a new solution designed by U.S.-based firm Parallel Wireless to improve mobile coverage in hard-to-reach parts of the United Kingdom. The Parallel Wireless product avoids the need for large masts and broadband or cabiling by using a small antenna to wirelessly connect to the nearest macro base station.
