"Gruppo INIT and Huawei worked together to develop a successful new network for Salerno University, a modern campus in southwest Italy, and one of the country’s most important institutions. Salerno University needed to revitalize its network, which was no longer able to meet the demands of its 10,000 users.
The university chose the Huawei switch family for its data center access and aggregation layers. Huawei’s S series will be used for access and its CloudEngine series for aggregation functions. The switches were chosen because they met the customer’s requirements, including performance and a good quality-to-price ratio.
The time-frame for project delivery was particularly short, Gruppo INIT managed to swap out the old technology in less than a month. One reason was that Huawei solved some tricky issues for us very quickly.
