-China Tower--a joint venture of the country’s three mobile providers--is poised to build a staggering 1 million towers over the next two years. China’s three mobile operators set up China Tower in July. The goal is to jointly maintain and operate the country’s cellular infrastructure.

-China Telecom, one of the country’s three providers, is reportedly going to launch mobile service in Australia later this month. The new service is called CTExcelBiz and it’s aimed at the Chinese population living in Australia.

-Out of India this morning, Bharti Airtel and Vodafone are running on expired spectrum licenses. in fact, their permits expired three days ago. in the meantime, operator Idea has agreed to let the companies run off of their spectrum until mid-January with no financial implications.

-Now some news on wearables, Google Glass, which formerly used a Texas Instruments chip, will use an Intel chip going forward. The $1,500 device never really caught on with the general tech consumer market but did find its niche with IT, healthcare, oil exploration and other professionals; hence the new marketing tagline, Glass at Work.

-And big news out of Singapore today, carrier M1 has launched the nation’s first 300Mbps LTE-A network after upgrading its existing 4G infrastructure. M1 is offering the service to existing 4G customers at no extra charge.
