NFV Discussion With Tektronix (full Interview)

RCR Wireless News spoke with Said Saadeh, Sr. Director-PLM, Platforms & Infrastructure; and Ravindra Chittimoori, Product Segment Owner, Product Line Management at Tektronix Communications about how the company is approaching the telecom virtualization space.

The company provided an update on where it views the current NFV market; how the technology is impacting opex vs. capex savings; and talked about some of the bigger challenges facing the NFV market, including support for legacy systems.

Tektronix also discussed the growing importance of service orchestration platforms needed to help telecom operators gain network efficiencies promised by the move towards virtualization.
