Lecture 45 Do It Yourself Fiber To The Home
Description
Today everybody needs bandwidth in their Internet connections. We're streaming video"OTT" - over the top instead of having a CATV connection - maybe multiple videos at one time on a single connection to the home - and talking about the Internet of Things (IoT). Only fiber optics can provide this kind of bandwidth.
But many people live in areas where their telephone, CATV or ISP (Internet service provider) will never spend the money to built a FTTH network. Do you live with this - or move?
FOA is being contacted by many people who want to know how they build their own FTTH network - real estate developers, small utilities or coops, etc. We've helped some of these projects and they want to share their experiences with others to help them be successful also.
This video is an overview of how to built your own FTTH network. Other videos in this series will cover actual systems built as DIY FTTH projects.
