Description
HEAnet utilises Juniper Networks' Unified Threat Management solution to provide a secure high speed broadband to over 350,000 pupils in Ireland.
With growing trends towards e-books, BYOD, Wi-Fi and Cloud Computing, the Irish government made the strategic decision to invest €40m in ICT in education. With the objective of leveraging HEAnet's existing backbone and expertise, the government turned to HEAnet for the implementation and management of the large-scale network that would be required.
