Charity is supposed to be a way show compassion and lend a hand to those who come on hard times, and yet in the modern world it has come to be seen as an insult and slap in the face. Oddly most "charity" really isn't a hand out and rather it's a payout on insurance that we all pay for. Beyond that by refusing help you not only can keep yourself from succeeding, but ironically will also prevent society from profiting by being more valuable.
